Cozy, Sweet, and Charming
These are all words that describe our home.
They are also another way of saying "small."
We live in a Cape. We love our house. We love the location and the yard and the pool. While a few more square feet in the bathrooms would be welcome, it really isn't necessary in terms of function. We are settled and comfortable and have no intention of leaving until I achieve my coveted snowbird status and buy a condo in FL. It's a perfect little homestead for the three of us.
Saying it is a perfect homestead for a family of five will take some maneuvering.
The house was advertised as a four bedroom. This is misleading. We have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs we have a kitchen, a living room, a sunroom (my favorite room), a bathroom and 2 additional rooms that are flexible. We currently use one as a guest room/playroom and the other as my office. Down below is an unfinished basement and a garage that will never be used as a garage. So while calling it a 4 bedroom wasn't a lie, it isn't exactly true either.
So now, with the possibility of 2 new family members (and with them more clothes, toys, books and other misc. crap) we are going to need to get creative.

I am thinking of parking something like this in the driveway. It could be "the master suite" or perhaps "the guest house." It's all about what you call it. I suppose calling it "the nursery" would get us a visit from the Department of Child Services so we'll avoid that option.
The neighbors will love me.
