Boys vs Girls

I have an ultrasound in Boston tomorrow.  I'm hoping all goes well.  I find these appointments to cause a great deal of anxiety.  We're taking the Boy with us to this appointment.

Tonight at dinner I asked him, "Do you think the babies will be boys or girls?"

He replied matter of factly, "Well, Mommy that depends.  Do they have penises?  Because if they have penises then they are boys, but if they don't then they are girls."

Although I appreciated the anatomy lesson I asked again, "But what do you THINK they are?"

He raised his eyebrow and asked, "Do they have penises?"

I raised my shoulders and said, "I don't know."

He concluded, "Well, if you don't know if they have penises then they are probably girls because if you knew they had penises then they would have to be boys."

So there you have his official guess.
