The Chicken or the Egg

I'm really not sure which came first, but when it comes to added protein I'll gladly take either over the alternative.  I've been told I need to consume as much protein as possible.

(As a sidenote, it would be nice to be told to consume as much ice cream or chocolate as possible just once.)

In doing research (via my usual route: Google) I was promised by dozens of strangers in cyberspace that Boost Shakes were a delicious and creamy way to add in extra protein.

Cyber-Liars!

Hubby stopped on his way home from work and bought me a six pack.  He poured one into a glass over ice and sampled it.  He also lied and told me it was "pretty good."  He handed it to me as I sat on our brand new couch with my semi-new Macbook in my lap (two things I would prefer not to vomit on) and I took a sip.

I gagged.  I dry-heaved.  I frantically plotted how I would save my sofa and laptop.  Luckily the urge passed and I was fine.  I thought maybe it was an aquired taste and that I needed to give it another try.  I went into the kitchen I chugged it.

And to the bathroom I ran.

And it came up faster than it went down.

Along with everything else I had ingested that day including chicken and peanut butter.

So the moral of the story is that the stupid Boost drink actually made me lose valuable protein instead of gaining more.

Anyone want 5 Boost shakes because I am not going to drink them.
