Art Imitating Life

This is one of my favorite books.  It's clever and fun. I was reading it to the Boy and appreciating the fact that he really gets the underlying humor.  I think a sense of humor is a great asset and am pleased that he seems to be developing a quick wit, a knack for one liners and the ability to get himself out of trouble with laughter.  As far as 4 year olds go he really is funny.

Then we came to this picture of the Wolf.

and the Boy says, "Mommy the wolf's clothes look like your clothes.  Look! His big belly is sticking out too and everyone can see his belly button just like you!"  

Maybe he is not so funny after all because I sure as heck am not laughing.
