Lather - Rinse - Repeat!

I like to "get 'er done."  I've always been a fan of to-do lists and will often add things to them for the sole purpose of being able to cross them off (i.e. take a shower, eat lunch...breathe).  Incidentally, the Boy has inherited my love of to-do lists and we spent each morning this summer making our list for the day.  He would excitedly get a paper and pencil and in his best four year old handwriting would carefully catalog our daily agenda.  The list typically included:

PLA
POL
BILD BLOKS
LUNCH
REST
POL
DADDY

For those of you who don't make a living out of reading the misspellings of the youth of America I'll translate: play, pool, build blocks, lunch, rest, pool, Daddy comes home).

Composing the list is great fun in it's own right, but crossing items off brings on the real joy!  Needless to say, I do not enjoy tasks that fail to bring me that sense of accomplishment.  You know the tasks that need to be done over and over again.  Things like dishes, laundry, cooking, etc.

We are currently living in a cycle that rivals the movie Groundhog Day.   I keep reminding myself of how blessed we are to have these two little additions added to our family and I know all too well how fast this phase will pass (in hindsight of course because when you are living it if feels like forever), but the routine of it is monotonous at the time.

Diaper x 2
Bottle x 2
Diaper Again x 2
Wash Bottles x 2
Fill bottles
Lather.
Rinse.
Repeat!
Lather.
Rinse.
Repeat!

Of course the cycle is broken up by sweet little cuddles which makes it all worthwhile.
